Sunshine, Birds, and Crystal Clear Windows

Sunshine, Birds, and Crystal Clear Windows

We are finally seeing the first signs of spring!  The sunshine warms your skin, the birds are making beautiful music, and the temperatures are moderating!  Neighbors are out walking and everyone is pleasant and smiling.  We all know that winter will likely rear its ugly head again, but the end is near!

This time of year gets me into cleaning mode.  One of the first things I noticed while driving home from work enjoying the sunshine was how filthy the rear window of my car was.  Where did that film come from?   Anyone that knows me can attest to the fact that I like a clean organized car.   On the drive home, I stopped by the auto spa and took care of the undercarriage and the rest of the exterior.  Then, upon my arrival, I pulled out my trusty Invisible Glass Cleaner, by Stoner.  This is the best glass cleaner I have ever used, hands down.  The formula is ammonia-free and safe for tinted windows.  Did you know the ammonia in other glass cleaners can eat away at your window tint?

Another tip for cleaning your car windows:  use a microfiber towel.  In addition to the streak-free properties of Invisible Glass, a good microfiber cloth is worth its weight in gold and keeps your glass crystal clear.  For your vehicles, Stoner Reach and Clean Tool can access the tight recesses of your vehicle’s windows.   The tool includes microfiber bonnets which are machine washable, and the set has three additional microfiber towels.  Bonus!  Honestly, last year when I was cleaning cars for friends and family members, the tool was a time saver for me.  The best part?  Clean, crystal clear glass every time.

Caring for Your Microfiber Towels

Microfiber is an awesome cleaning tool!  It replaces boatloads of paper towels and cleaning agents while saving you money and reducing waste.  Just a damp microfiber towel can clean many surfaces.  It is lint free and is a magnet for dirt, as long as you:

  • Wash separately in cold water.  Washing microfiber with any other towel, rag, or garment will cause it to pick up lint from the other material.  You do not want that because lint is virtually impossible to remove from the fibers.
  • Never, ever, not even once, should you use fabric softener.  Again, this will take away the ability of the fiber to attract the dirt and grime you want to remove.
  • Tumble dry, preferably on a low heat setting.  A high heat setting can melt the fibers.
  • Store separately from other towels or rags.

Now, with spring finally arriving, I have clean windows to enjoy my sunny view of the green horizon! And tomorrow, when that sunshine is beating through my windows, I can relish in a streak-free view.

Until Next Time,

April
